Whose turn is it to deal with the disposal of construction waste?

Let's start by Legislative Decree 152/2006 “environmental Regulations” 

The above-mentioned DL is the reference to be followed for the management of waste. According to this decree, the responsibility for disposing of construction waste is attributed to the producer of such waste. If we refer to a “Text only” environment, we can realize that is defined by manufacturer “anyone whose activities produce waste, that is, the original producer and the person who has carried out transactions, in pre-treatment or of a mixture or other operations that have altered the nature or composition of the waste”. From here, it is evident that it is the responsibility of the undertaking, the correct management of the process of disposal. This process requires that these wastes are deposited on a temporary basis, at the shipyard in the designated areas or in chests furniture. However, there are limits; let me explain: the construction company can temporarily place in the way just explained, but must follow a few rules:

  • It is possible to waste materials with volumes not exceeding 30 cm;
  • A maximum of 10 waste that are classified as dangerous.

There are companies that offer these services?

Of course, the recovery and disposal of these wastes can only be managed by those firms that are registered the national register of environmental managers. For this reason a private citizen or a construction company are able to request the services offered from the above-mentioned companies specialized in the disposal.
