In recent years there has been an increase in innovations and uses of the technology in various sectors. 

The new strength of the structure is given by the use of cement and concrete prestressed concrete that have become conventional materials.

The various types

Concrete fibro–reinforced, concrete polymer, ferrocement, concrete sulfur, concrete, high density, concrete w, concrete self-compacting, concrete compacted by rollers, concrete, ultra-high resistance, concrete, high performance, are some of the different types of concrete that are used. 

The three main types of concrete are:

Fiber reinforced concrete

This concrete is used primarily for the application in floors. Compared to the normal concrete, the resistance the concrete is more being reinforced with steel fibers able to cope with the better thermal shock.

Polymer concrete

The polymer concrete is significantly more expensive compared to the normal concrete. This is used by the production of concrete pipe, posts concrete, tiles concrete supports for galleries and wall cladding in concrete prefabunit of ready-mixed concrete for use in conditions aggressive, structures desalination, structures lightweight concrete and surface protection for casting of concrete.

Ferrocement

Ferrocement is a species of reinforced concrete, which is mainly influenced by the type, the amount, orientation, and properties of resistance of mesh. The thickness of the elements in ferrocement goes by 2 to 3 cm with outer cover from 2 to 3 mm. It has been used successfully for the construction of domes, big tanks and manholes.
